PQR - version 4.6 (December 2007)
As decided by the EPPO Executive Committee in April 2007, the updated version of PQR (EPPO database on geographical distribution and host plants of quarantine pests) can be downloaded free of charge from this web page. To ensure a correct installation, any previous versions of PQR should be uninstalled before installing version 4.6. Click on the link and follow the installation wizard to install PQR onto your computer hardisk. PQR 4.6 runs under Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT 4.0 or XP). If you have difficulties, please contact the EPPO Secretariat: pqr@eppo.fr
PQR is the EPPO database on quarantine pests. It gives access to data on:
For each pest, it is possible to obtain lists of host plants, commodities able to act as pathways in international trade, and details of geographical distribution. Conversely, it is also possible to interogate the database to obtain specific lists of pests, by stipulating the host species, the commodity, and the country of interest. PQR contains general nomenclatural and taxonomic details on pests and hosts. PQR version 4.6 provides updated information for a large number of pests (including invasive alien plants). All new information collected by the EPPO Secretariat since the release of the previous version has been included in PQR 4.6 (i.e. data published in the EPPO Reporting Service from December 2005 to August 2007 or obtained from CABI maps). No new features have been developed in version 4.6 but the EPPO Secretariat is currently preparing a new interface for PQR to allow more regular updates and the display of maps.
