PRA Documents   This area is specifically addressed to EPPO member countries and provides available working documents on Pest Risk Analysis, on a pest-specific basis.

PRAs vary in length from simple expert judgments ('does not feed on plants' or 'tropical, no host plants outdoors in Europe') to detailed documents with assessment of biological factors, climate maps, and estimated costs and benefits of the measures needed to keep a pest out of an area, or to eradicate an outbreak. Different schemes have been developed for PRA: a detailed EPPO decision support scheme for PRA and shorter schemes developed in EPPO member countries.
You will find on this page PRA documents (PRAs following the EPPO standard, PRAs following national schemes, summary PRAs, reports of PRA and reports of Pest Risk Management [PRM]) which have been studied by various EPPO Panels since 2000. Some PRAs and summary PRAs, are working documents which have usually been prepared by an assessor whose opinions may have been commented on during Panel meetings. The Panels’ comments are not always included in the PRA documents presented on this page. In some cases, final PRA conclusions made by the EPPO Panels may differ from the opinion given by the original assessor. When no PRA or PRM reports are available, final conclusions from the PRA are to be found in Panel meeting reports and/or in final datasheets. For each pest a document consisting of extracts of the EPPO Panels’ reports on PRA documents has been prepared.
