Standards approved by EPPO Council in 2008-09

 

At its last session in September 2008, the EPPO Council approved the following draft standards. All of them are now in press and will appear in due course in the Bulletin OEPP / EPPO Bulletin, as well as on this website.

In addition, Council adopted an EPPO position paper on the interpretation of the term 'Public Officer':

 

  EPPO Standards PM1 - General Phytosanitary Measures

Council approved the revision of EPPO Standard PM 1/2, and the following pests were added to the EPPO A2 List (pests locally present in the EPPO region):

  • Tetranychus evansi,
  • Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. poinsettiicola,
  • Eichhornia crassipes
  • Polygonum perfoliatum

 

  EPPO Standards PM3 - Phytosanitary Procedures

  • Elements common to inspection of places of production, area-wide surveillance, inspection of consignments and lot identification
  • Phytosanitary Procedure for Strawberry plants: consignment inspection
 

  EPPO Standards PM4 - Production of Healthy Plants for Planting

  • Certification scheme for grapevine (revision)
  • Certification scheme for strawberry (revision)

 

  EPPO Standards PM7 - Diagnostic protocols for regulated pests

  • Fungi: Diaporthe vaccinii, Mycospaerella dearnesii & M. pini, Plasmopara halstedii
  • Nematodes: Ditylenchus destructor & D. dipsaci, Heterodera glycines, Meloidogyne chitwoodi & M. fallax, Radopholus similis

 

  EPPO Standards PM9 - National regulatory control systems

  • Heterodera glycines: procedures for official control
  • Ambrosia artemisiifolia: procedures for official control

 

  EPPO Standards PM10 - Phytosanitary treatments

  • Hot water treatment of Dracaena and Yucca cuttings against Opogona sacchari
  • Sulfuryl fluoride fumigation of dried fruits and nuts to control various stored-products insects
  • Heat treatment of wood to control insects and wood-borne nematodes
  • Methyl bromide fumigation of wood to control insects
  • Disinfestation of round and sawn wood with ionizing radiation
  • Low energy electron treatment of cereal seed against fungi
  • Irradiation of stored products to control stored-products insects in general
  • Fumigation of cut flowers to control insects and mites
